Selecting Wind Chimes for Your Garden

Simple wind chimes work better than more complex ones so as to not create imbalance in decor styles. It is important to position them anywhere they blend in effortlessly. Select wind chimes that make a beautiful sound and do not get stuck solely on their appearance. Often times, the more complex types of wind chimes are not made to create a clean sound quality, while those made of simple aluminum can deliver this flawless sound. When creating your wind chime garden, chimes can be hung at various heights. For example, place a set of wind chimes up on a deck, one in a smaller tree line and another among your flowers. Each and every instant the wind blows, the sounds will intensely resonate throughout your backyard. Installing wind chimes in your eyeline so you can enjoy the sunrise and sunset will allow you to enjoy their visual aspects. Aluminum wind chime gardens fit well with rock configurations, water features (such as a waterfall or a birdbath) and surrounding evergreens.

How to Introduce the Positive Aspects of Feng Shui to Your Garden

Introduce feng shui design to the layout of your yard so it can bring energy into your household.

Size is not the most important factor when incorporating feng shui design to your yard. It is great to have a huge space to work with, but do not worry if the area is small since you can still incorporate feng shui design.

Feng shui techniques are the same whether you are working in your garden or your residence. In order to know the energy map, or bagua, of your garden, you will first want to understand your home’s bagua.

It is also essential to know the five elements in the theory of feng shui and how best to use each one to make the most of its energy.

The northeast corner of your garden, for instance, connects to personal growth and self-cultivation energy, and Earth is the feng shui element that is important to use it. A Zen garden with some lovely natural rocks is ideal for that spot, as the rocks represent the Earth element.

People thinking about adding a water feature into their garden should place it in one of these feng shui areas: North (career & path in life), Southeast (money and abundance), or East (health & family).
